Welcome to the BreastScreen NSW web site. BreastScreen NSW is a FREE breast screening service for women aged 50 – 69 years. This government funded service aims to detect breast cancer in its early stages, when treatment can be most effective.

BreastScreen NSW has a network of local services across NSW including 40 regional centres and 18 mobile units which continually tour and service remote areas and specific communities within NSW.

Health faculties at University of Sydney are currently conductiing the following on line survey/ trial in relation to breast health and screening.

  • School of Public Health on decision aid for women aged 40 years who are considering whether to begin screening mammography (click here).

  • School of Health Information Management on people's perception and access to eHealth information  (click here).
